The region
The Bessin is a part of Calvados that goes from the coast of Arromanche to Isigny sur Mer, whose main city is Bayeux. Recognized worldwide for the production of milk, cheese, creams, Isigny oysters from Veys Bay and the production of apple juice, Pommeau, Cidres and Calvados.The history of the region is very rich starting from William the Conqueror passing by the Camp Vaussieux in 1778, military camp gathering 35000 Americans to train them in the battles of liberation against the English.
